Community College
Community Colleges have a lot of options for students, such as 2 year (Associates) degree programs, certificate programs, as well as comprehensive programs which lead to licensure (Registered Nurse program). Students also have the option of transferring to a 4-year college or univerisity. Visit the LA Community College Website.
There are no entrance requirements (no SAT/ACT tests), however students will have to take math and English placement tests before taking these subjects at the college level.

EOP&S is a state funded support program that is designed to assist qualified low-income and educationally disadvantaged students complete their college goals with the assistance of financial and support services.
The EOP&S program includes the following services:
- Academic and career counseling
- Free tutoring
- Transfer assistance
- University fee waivers
- Priority registration

A representative from Pierce College will be at CHS weekly in the College Center. The rep will be here to answer questions and discuss options and opportunities Pierce College has to offer; and is available for our current seniors who plan to attend Pierce College in Fall 2011. Students are encouraged to participate in their Summer Bridge Program.
